The month of Pancake Day!

Please chat with Deborah & Emma if there is anything you are unable to eat and they will do their best to find an alternative for you. Please make sure you order the correct meal when you arrive as Deborah and Emma will be unable to change this when they are serving lunch, also when you phone & order a lunch please can you specify what lunch you require if it is the one on the menu or the alternative to save any confusion.  Remember lunch must be booked by 11.00am.  We also have a nice range of homemade cakes, biscuits, plus sweets and chocolate treats. Please Note only Day Centre Drinks can be consumed here, we cannot have people bringing in their own drinks. If there is a drink (non-alcoholic) that you would like to see on the servery please let us know, please do not bring in drinks and ask us to keep behind the Servery, we do have a nice range of cold drinks, hot drinks (Tea, Coffee, Cappuchinos,Horlicks, Bovril,Hot Chocolate and cartons of juice and water. We have put survey forms on all tables, please fill them in and place in plastic sleeve by the white board in the dining room, we cannot improve if we don’t have your comments.  PLEASE NOTE THE SERVERY WILL BE CLOSED 12-1PM EVERY DAY. We will NOT be storing any items in the fridge or freezer that have been purchased from the shops as we have had a number of issues that have arisen so please be mindful of this when purchasing your goods.

Please also be mindful on how many shopping bags you take home on the bus as we are limited for space!

We are now selling a variety of items on our ‘Sales Trolley’, wrapping paper, sellotape, bingo dabbers, age birthday cards, tissues, deodorants, combs etc., please let us know if you would like to be able to purchase any other items from here and we will do our best to provide them at a very reasonable price. WE ALSO HAVE A FEW 2019 POCKET DIARIES TO PURCHASE.

We have our entertainment programme for March Games Afternoon, Carpet Bowls, Scrabble Challenge and songs of praise. Please do participate in our entertainment and activities afternoons, it takes a lot of time and effort to organise, plus it is a means of social interaction for everyone, and as they say ‘the more the merrier’.

We have also introduced a craft & art table in the lounge and a jigsaw puzzle table in the dining room, please spend some time during the day to test your skills ask Louise or Helen for help to pass the morning by.

Friday 1^st March we have our Quiz Night, 7.30pm, teams of 6-8 people, £10 per person and a fish and chip supper, please bring your own drinks and nibbles.

Thursday 7^th March we have our shopping trip to Farnborough if you haven’t booked on please see Annette or Wendy.

On Tuesday 19^th March we have our Rock and Roll Themed day, please see separate poster please feel free to come dressed up and we will be having entertainment.

On Wednesday 20^th we have Belinda the Jewellery lady so come and treat yourself, also we have an invite from Eastlake to their Wellbeing Day, includes Ploughman’s Lunch, please see Annette or Wendy for details.

On Thursday 28^th March we have our outing to Longacre garden centre if you haven’t booked on please see Annette or Wendy.

On Saturday 30^th March we are having a collection 10am-12pm down at Godalming Waitrose, please come down to support us and if you can spare some time to help.

Christmas is upon us and a busy month for all of us!

Christmas Lunches week will be week beginning Monday 10^th December- 14^th December, please make sure you book for your free lunch with Annette and Wendy. We will have entertainment in the lounge every afternoon and Father Christmas will be visiting every day!!

We are pleased to announce that following our Food Hygiene Inspection by Waverley Enviromental Officer we have maintained our 5 Star Rating, so well done Deborah & Emma.

On Friday 9^th we will be celebrating 100 years of remembrance, we will be displaying our poppies that have been made and having our minutes silence to remember all the brave people that fought. We will have a special menu that day.  On Wednesday 14^th November we have Belinda here selling her lovely Jewellery 10am-12pm.  On Thursday 15^th November we have an outing to the pub (The Parrott Inn Shalford) please see separate poster for details.

We have our Christmas Fair on Saturday 17^th November which is a fantastic Fundraiser for the Centre, please come and support this event we have a Plant stall,childrens and Adults tombola,jewellery stall,Christmas decorations,Christmas cards/wrapping paper/diaries/calenders etc and Bacon Butties on the servery. We will run a free minibus that day so please book your place on it.

On Wednesday 24^th October we have a shopping trip to the Range at Chichester if you would like to go please come in and book in the office.

On Friday 26^th October we have our Quiz Night, Fish and Chips,Raffle,Quiz Master it is a great fun evening starting at 7.30pm and raises a lot of money for the centre to enable us to put on trips for you all.

On Wednesday 31^st October we will be doing a Halloween themed lunch with games and some sweet treats involved to, it will be a £5 special so will need to be booked and paid for in the office.

We are busy planning our Christmas Fair, which is on 17^th November and would like any donations of the following: Raffle & Tombola Prizes, good as new gifts, sweets, drinks,

(Unfortunately we are unable to accept tins of food i.e. soup, vegetables, beans etc.)

On Thursday 26^th July we have the farncombe day Centre AGM at 2pm, we will have refreshments after and we will be welcoming guests and Dignitaries to the centre.
