Now the cold weather is here salads are now off the menu and homemade soup will be back on, we will still be offering alternative’s including, omelettes, & jacket potatoes. Please chat with Deborah & Emma if there is anything you are unable to eat and they will do their best to find an alternative for you. Please make sure you order the correct meal when you arrive as Deborah and Emma will be unable to change this when they are serving lunch. We also have a nice range of homemade cakes, biscuits, plus sweets and chocolate treats. Please Note only Day Centre Drinks can be consumed here, we cannot have people bringing in their own drinks. If there is a drink (non-alcoholic) that you would like to see on the servery please let us know, please do not bring in drinks and ask us to keep behind the Servery, we do have a nice range of cold drinks, hot drinks (Tea, Coffee, Cappuchinos,Horlicks, Bovril and cartons of juice and water. PLEASE NOTE THE SERVERY WILL BE CLOSED 12-1PM EVERY DAY. If you want to order Tea and Cake for your birthday please can you give Deborah & Emma 2 weeks’ notice? We will now NOT be storing any items in the fridge or freezer that have been purchased from the shops as we have had a number of issues that have arisen so please be mindful of this when purchasing your goods.
We are now selling a variety of items on our ‘Sales Trolley’, wrapping paper, sellotape, bingo dabbers, age birthday cards, tissues, deodorants, combs etc., please let us know if you would like to be able to purchase any other items from here and we will do our best to provide them at a very reasonable price.
We have our entertainment programme, Craft, Carpet Bowls,Grandads Aloud, Don, Quizzes and much much more.
On Wednesday 7th November we have Sassi Gifts visiting,time to start your Christmas shopping they will be here 10am-12pm.
On Friday 9th we will be celebrating 100 years of remembrance, we will be displaying our poppies that have been made and having our minutes silence to remember all the brave people that fought. We will have a special menu that day. On Wednesday 14th November we have Belinda here selling her lovely Jewellery 10am-12pm. On Thursday 15th November we have an outing to the pub (The Parrott Inn Shalford) please see separate poster for details.
We have our Christmas Fair on Saturday 17th November which is a fantastic Fundraiser for the Centre, please come and support this event we have a Plant stall,childrens and Adults tombola,jewellery stall,Christmas decorations,Christmas cards/wrapping paper/diaries/calenders etc and Bacon Butties on the servery. We will run a free minibus that day so please book your place on it.
On Thursday 29th November we have our shopping trip to Asda, if you would like to go please put your name down in the office, see separate poster for details.
