CATERING NEWS

WELCOME BACK. We say goodbye to Gina moving on to pastures new and welcome Kirsty our Care Assistant back, Kirsty will be working alongside Helen. We also have a new Catering Assistant starting in the next few weeks. You must BOOK a table.

We will continue to provide the same alternatives daily and we cater for all dietary requirements; you now have the option of paying by card.

As you all know the Day Centre remained open to serve meals during the pandemic and we also took on the Community Meals Service from Waverley which we will continue to serve forever.

The shop trolley is located in the reception area and we sell sellotape, tissues, bingo dabbers, deodorant, if you would like to see something on their please come and let us know. CATERING NEWS

Well what a year it has been! WELCOME BACK. We have had some changes here at the Centre, we welcomed Jacqui & Gina last year and they have settled in to the Centre and have been looking forward to cooking for you. You must BOOK a table.

MARCH NEWSLETTER 2020

 Due to Coronavirus pandemic, Farncombe Day Centre is closed for lunches and other food until further notice.

However our staff are still working and we are offering a lunch delivery service £6 for a two course lunch. Please phone the Centre on 01483 426685 if you wish to use this service.

NEWSLETTER FEBRUARY 2020  

We say good bye to Wendy and Louise this month as they are moving on to pastures new, we wish them well.

We are introducing a new system re ordering your lunch, when you arrive in the mornings please go and sit down and the Lunch ticket person will call you up, they will be doing this one by one so there will be no rushing and all the ordering will be correct.

Don’t forget we have Bacon Rolls for sale for £1 and Toasted sandwiches Cheese/Ham with Tomato or onion for £1.50 between 9am-11am. We are also making sandwiches for you to take home for tea, we have various fillings so please order between 9am-11am and we will keep in the fridge for you to take home they are £1.50 each.  We are introducing cheese & biscuits as of 6th January as a pudding so if you wish to have them you will need to tell the lunch ticket person.

We have put survey forms on all tables, please fill them in and place in plastic sleeve by the white board in the dining room, we cannot improve if we don’t have your comments.  PLEASE NOTE THE SERVERY WILL BE CLOSED 12-1PM EVERY DAY. We will NOT be storing any items in the fridge or freezer that have been purchased from the shops as we have had a number of issues that have arisen so please be mindful of this when purchasing your goods.

Please also be mindful on how many shopping bags you take home on the bus as we are limited for space!

We will be having a Valentine’s Day £5 special on Friday 14th February, please book in the office with Myself.

On Thursday 27th we have an outing to the Range, if you would like to go to this please put your name down in the office.

On Friday 6th December we have the Farncombe Christmas Light Switch on here run by Godalming Town Council 4.30-5pm then after in the day centre for refreshments.

On Sunday 15th December we have our roast lunch special and entertainment, please see separate poster for details, entertainment will be by Billy and tickets will be £5 each.

Christmas Lunches week is week beginning 16th December all users will get one free Christmas lunch, they will be running all week and we will be having different entertainment each afternoon so you need to book it in the office with myself or Wendy on which day you wish to attend.

Friday 20th December will be our last day at the centre and we will reopen on Thursday 2nd January 2020.

Don’t forget we still have our Christmas Table selling Diaries, wrapping paper, tinsel and much more.

We have been very lucky to have been awarded a grant so we have 3 iPads so we have them for all to use, please come and ask if they have not been put out.

On Wednesday 6th November we have the Farncombe Day Centre Annual general meeting, after the meeting you are invited to have free Tea and cake, we will have local dignitaries attending and chairperson Bill Hislop will be speaking.

Monday 11th is Rememberance Day, which we will acknowledge with a

minutes silence. On Tuesday 12th November we have an outing to

Keydell (winter woodland) please see separate poster for details.

On Wednesday 13th November we have Belinda here selling jewellery 10am-12pm, time to purchase some Christmas presents.

On Saturday 16th November we have our Christmas Fair 10.30-12.30, we have lots of stalls and we will be running a free minibus that day for people that wish to come. We are also looking for donations for Tombolas,raffles etc, we would greatly appreciate any donations. The Raffle is now displayed and Tickets are 50p per strip so please purchase them for a great cause.

On Tuesday 19th November we have the sight for surrey bus visiting 10am-12pm.

On Tuesday 26th we have an outing to Badshot Lea garden centre please see separate

On Wednesday 27th we have Sassi Gifts visiting 10am-12pm, so more Christmas shopping.

Starting Monday 4th November we will be making Sandwiches to take away , they must be ordered by 11am and they will be Cheese, ham Tuna/mayo and if you want tomato or onion in that will be available and a choice of brown or white bread they will be £1.50.

On 31st July it is the three churches outing to Worthing; you need to purchase your tickets from Huckleberry Bistro just around the corner from us.
